A ghost job is a posting a company publishes but never intends to fill — they're collecting resumes for future pipelines, testing the market, or meeting HR compliance requirements. Our AI scores each posting as High Confidence (real), Proceed with Caution, or Suspicious, based on signals like vague requirements, missing salary information, unusually long posting periods, and inconsistencies in the job description.
Do I need to add my CV to use this tool?
No — the CV field is completely optional. Without it, Block B will analyze the job's requirements in general terms and flag the key skills you'd typically need. Adding your CV unlocks a personalized match: the AI compares each requirement against your actual experience and tells you exactly which ones you meet (Strong), partially meet (Partial), or are missing (Gap).
Is my data stored or shared?
No. Your job description and CV text are sent to Gemini AI for the evaluation and are never stored on our servers. We do not log your input, train models on your data, or share it with any third party. Once the evaluation is complete, the data is gone.
How accurate are the salary estimates?
Salary estimates in Block D are based on Gemini AI's training data and should be treated as a starting point for your research, not a guarantee. Always verify using Glassdoor, Levels.fyi, LinkedIn Salary, or Blind for your specific role, location, and experience level. The estimates are most accurate for common tech and business roles in the US and Western Europe.
